Things I Have Said About Mark Ruffalo’s Chest Hair in the Past 24 Hours

tanglebuddies:

  • Mark Ruffalo, let me bury my face in your chest hair. I will make a nest in it and then sleep there peacefully for eternity.
  • I will shave it and then knit it into one of those scarves that also have pockets, and then put my heart in one of those pockets.
  • I will wake up to find a chest hair in my teeth and know I have found true happiness.
  • Also more things that you probably don’t need to hear and I have no desire to repeat.

Bottom line is, even if you see them coming, you’re not ready for the big moments. No one asks for their life to change, not really. But it does. So what are we, helpless? Puppets? No. The big moments are gonna come. You can’t help that. It’s what you do afterwards that counts. That’s when you find out who you are.

N.W.A - Express Yourself

Just as expected

Cleaning my room means putting everything on the floor and then giving up.

Can someone give this to me for my birthday?
I genuinely want one.

#formative as fuck #you know those moments in fiction that alter something inside of you forever on a primal level? #this was one of those for me

Oh, yeah, this was one of those moments for me.  This is why I love Buffy, despite all her flaws as a character- because she’s got a core of steel, and she does what she needs to, and no matter how much she loved him, she loved herself MORE.  Respected herself more.  She needed to save the world, so she did.  I love this scene, and I love this moment.

Oh, god yes. I still remember watching this scene for the first time.  I honestly didn’t know what was going to happen.  It looked pretty dire.  I was reasonably sure they wouldn’t kill off their title character (lol, yet), but experience had taught me to expect that someone else (probably male) should be coming along to save her.  So when she just fucking saved herself, that was amazing to me.

This belongs on my feminist blog because it is WICKED and absolutely formative. Amazing. I heart BtVS forever and ever.
